Indoor Family Session - Great Falls, VA.

As many of us know, winter in Northern Virginia can be pretty harsh! We recently were showered with snow (to the joy of some, and the dismay of others)! While it might be a bit drab outside, that doesn’t mean you can’t book your family photo session in the middle of January!

I find winter to be the perfect time for family formals! I mainly use portable/battery-powered lighting gear, which is perfect for meeting with my family clients in their own home!

One of our session goals was to really showcase the beautiful home this family worked so hard on, so we used multiple locations as our session settings to draw out each family members personality and frame them perfectly in their home.

I always keep an eye out for candid moments!

We had such a good time! My biggest driving point for a successful family session is to have fun with it, and this family took that to heart! They were such a warm and welcome bunch.
